What VoteVisible provides

VoteVisible is a free, independent student project that explains selected state healthcare bills. It is not a government agency and does not represent any legislature. Its summaries and tools are for general civic education, not medical, legal, financial, or insurance advice.

Bill summaries and status

The collection is selective and is not a live legislative feed. A summary may omit provisions or describe a version that has since changed. Some entries are explicitly marked as needing verification. A proposed bill does not create an available benefit simply because it appears here.

Check the official bill text, current status, effective dates, and eligibility rules before relying on an entry or taking action. A summary’s review date records when its source was reviewed; it is not a guarantee that later developments are included.

Machine translation

Optional translations are generated by Google. Translation availability and quality vary, and automated text can change names, dates, or legal meaning. The English source remains visible for comparison. Use the official legislative record for authoritative wording.

Contact tools and saved bills

The message builder prepares a draft for you to review and copy. It does not send messages, confirm a representative’s position, or guarantee a response. You choose whether, where, and what to send. District-finder links are operated by external services.

Saved bills are a convenience on the current device. They can be lost if browser data is cleared, storage is blocked, or the site changes. There is no account-based backup or synchronization.

Responsible use

Please use these tools for lawful civic participation. Do not impersonate another person, harass people, submit misleading reports, or try to disrupt the site. External source documents, service names, and third-party software remain subject to their respective owners’ terms and licenses.

Corrections and changes

The project may update its content and features. Please report a suspected factual or technical problem through the project issue tracker (new tab), preferably with a bill number and official source. That tracker is public; avoid posting personal or sensitive information.

These terms describe the site’s current purpose and use. They do not replace any rights or obligations established by applicable law.
